ANDREA AREL
LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST

About Me

I have been practicing therapeutic massage since 1998. But way before that I was a client. I would save my money when I was in my 20's and 30's to get a massage. It took a lot of massages before I found that perfect therapist. I never realized how "just ok" the other massages were till I met the right one for me.

Then one day when my business was doing well, and I had plenty of money...I decided to go to massage school. That freaked my friends out! I was a businesswoman, why in the world would I become a massage therapist!  I have always only had this answer. "I love the way a great massage makes me feel and I want to do that for others." That's it. I whipped through massage school like it was nothing. All that anatomy and physiology just seeped in and stayed. It was like it was meant to be. Now I am starting on my 23nd year of practice. I still love it. I am still learning. And I make a lot of people very happy with the way their bodies feel.

I have studied many different modalities and incorporate whatever seems appropriate for each person. My favorite therapy is "positional release". This is one of the easiest and pain free methods of releasing tight sore muscles. Never causing pain is very important to me.  I can release tight sore muscles without causing additional pain to my clients. Aligning the spine and sacrum is a key component of what I do. Once these are aligned the rest of the body is so easy to release.

Clothes on or off (covered with a sheet) ... it makes no difference to me.  Your comfort is what's important.
